The crown jewel of Estonian soul music, Rita Ray, rose to prominence at the end of 2019 with her album “Old Love Will Rust.” The singer from Põlva achieved both local and international success with her original debut. This was followed by “Life of Its Own” (2022), for which she received several music awards.
Rita Ray is one of the few singers who sounds authentic not only in the studio but also in live performances. At this concert, Rita Ray usually performs with a five-member band, but in this special duet with guitarist Johannes Laas, her voice has so much space that it’s hard not to be captivated.
The concert will mainly feature Rita Ray’s original songs, with perhaps a few of her favorite Estonian-language pieces included.
