For this year’s Music Day, Tšellopoisid (the Cello Boys) throw down a challenge to Tallinn’s medieval merchant Hoeppener, whose name still graces the old house on Town Hall Square. Will the master of the house lend them his bow, and how brightly will the strings resound? The answer awaits at the concert.
Two cellos, two young Estonian cellists. A sound both timeless and deeply moving to the soul.
Tšellopoisid (The Cello Boys), Kaspar Kluge and Anton Hannes Karin, expand the boundaries of traditional cello repertoire, creating a fascinating symbiosis between classical and contemporary music. Virtuoso Anton and experimental Kaspar, through years of friendship and playing together, have forged a unique sound that takes the listener on a true journey. At their concert, broken hairs and snapped strings come as no surprise—the natural result of pushing the cello to its very limits. Joining the cello duo at Hopner House is Finnish rock’n’roll drummer Jeremia Kangas.
